WNC has launched ‘The Big Conversation’ which is a consultation to ask people for their views and to share their experiences of adult social care services.
The Big Conversation is an opportunity for the council to listen to:
• people who use care and support
• family and friends who provide care
• people who work in care and support
The council wants to hear about:
• what is working well
• what could be better
• ideas for improving adult social care in the future
WNC will use what people tell them to work together to improve services and set council priorities.
In addition to an online survey there are number of open discussions taking place. The Daventry area one is being held on 2nd July at Daventry Leisure Centre between 10am to 12 noon. You can register here to attend: The Big Conversation about social care | West Northamptonshire Council

Driving plays an important role in everyday life, and as part of the Northamptonshire Safer Roads Alliance, we are keen to help mature drivers stay safer on the roads for longer. While driving ability can change over time for many reasons, particularly as we get older, recognising and adapting to these changes can help keep both drivers and other road users safe.
This Mature Drivers event is aimed at drivers aged 60+ and will cover a wide range of topics related to safe driving, including:
* Practical advice and safety information
* Opportunities to reflect on how driving needs may change over time
* FREE hints‑and‑tips driving sessions, available to book and delivered by Northampton Advanced Motorists at a convenient date tbc
Our aim is simple: to help mature drivers drive safely, confidently, and for longer.
