KILSBY GARDEN AND PRODUCE ASSOCIATION (KGPA)

Who are we:

villagers who have an interest in gardening, whether the gardens are big or small, an allotment or a domestic garden, courtyard or patio with flowers or herbs, vegetables or fruit or a mixture of everything.

What do we do:

  • We obtained grants and arranged to have 20 planters installed around the village, which have been adopted and are maintained by various village organisations and individuals
  • We stage the Village Produce Show in early September, open to everyone
  • We arrange for bulk supplies of multipurpose compost. This year we had 248 x 60 litre bags of Humax Compost delivered at discount prices to the village.
  • We arrange for delivery of seeds (at 50% discount), potatoes, garlic and onion sets, plug plants and garden equipment (at 15% discount) from Dobies Seeds – saving Association members an average of £700 annually.
  • Produce your membership card at Barby Nurseries for a 10% discount on plants, or Whilton Locks for 10% off ALL garden plants and equipment.

What other events do we offer members:

  • A stall at the May Plant and Seedling sale – stall holders keep their profit!
  • Trips to Gardens and Houses
  • An annual Gardeners Party with drinks, nibbles and a quiz in March.
  • A different guest speaker at our AGM in November

AND ALL THIS FOR JUST £5.00 PER HOUSEHOLD PER YEAR!

Membership runs from 1st April to 31st March – do come and join us!
