Kilsby Parish Council would like to remind all dog owners and walkers of the importance of cleaning up after their pets. While most residents are responsible, we continue to receive reports of dog fouling around the village, particularly along footpaths, pavements, and grassed areas used by children.
Dog fouling is unpleasant, unhygienic, and can spread harmful diseases such as toxocariasis. Please do your part to keep our village safe and enjoyable for everyone by always carrying bags and disposing of waste in the nearest litter or dog bin.
Reporting Dog Fouling Offences
If you witness dog fouling or know of persistent offenders, you can report it directly to West Northamptonshire Council. Reports can be made online via their website or by phone. The Council’s Environmental Crime team can investigate and, where appropriate, take enforcement action.

A Shared Responsibility
Together we can keep Kilsby a clean, welcoming, and safe place for all. Please be considerate, set a good example, and encourage others to do the same.
Thank you for helping us to look after our community.

What a wonderful show we had this year. The standard is always high, but this year it was amazing. We broke the records for the number of entries, and despite the difficult growing conditions this year, the produce and flower section did their growers proud.
The handicraft and cookery side had more classes this year, and that resulted in a very high number of entries and an equally high standard. The judges were very hard pressed in many of the classes to select the winners.
A full list of all the cups won can be found in the Kilsby Kronickle (together with some more show photos), but we must mention the Best in Show : Kath McBirnie whose jacket earned a lot of praise from the two judges, and the winner of the Banksian Medal : Jan Odell. Huge congratulations to you both.
Our next event is the AGM to be held in November, so look out for more details and join us for another enjoyable evening (not just the AGM bit, but the speaker and the nibbles!)
We hope that the autumn planting is going well, and that all those bulbs are going in for another wonderful flower display in the Spring.
Happy Gardening to you all.
