Robbery in Kilsby – appeal for witnesses
/in News/by ClerkPolice officers are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Boxwood Drive, Kilsby.
The incident happened on Tuesday, November 11, between 7.30pm and 8.30pm, when the victim met with the suspect to complete the sale of a mobile phone he had advertised online.
They initially met in Main Road, Kilsby, where the suspect was waiting in a red phone box. He then got into the victim’s car and they drove to and stopped in Boxwood Drive. After being handed the phone to look at, the suspect ran off with it without making payment.
The victim chased after him onto Main Road and towards Ashby Road and Spring Close, before stopping when the suspect shouted that he had a ‘shank’.
The suspect is described as black, in his late teens to early 20s, about 5ft 7in to 5ft 8in, with a skinny build. He was wearing a white t-shirt and grey joggers with shiny red shorts underneath.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may be to help identify the offender.
